Paul Howson, Principal Planning Officer presented the application for a proposed field shelter for Alpacas. There had been no updates since the publication of the report. Councillor Marlow-Eastwood sought clarification of whether the proposal would be visible from Jenners Lane. Mr Howson advised that whilst there would be limited views of the proposal, as dense thicket hedging obscured the view, other than from glimpsed sightings from the field gates. Members debated the proposal. Councillor Marlow-Eastwood was concerned that the hedging could become thinner during the winter months, making the proposal more visible from the lane. Councillor Warne countered that she was familiar with the lane and had observed that the trees and hedging obscured the view, which was in keeping with the area. With approval of the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation having been proposed by Councillor Warne, seconded by Councillor Lawrence, the Chair called upon the Committee to vote and it was RESOLVED (unanimously): To Grant Full Planning Permission subject to conditions set out in the Officer’s report.

There had been no updates since the publication of the report. Members queried whether the reduction in communal space might impact on residents’ social interactions. The Planning Officer advised that the kitchen dining room and an enlarged reception room would remain, which was considered acceptable for the number of occupants. Members also sought clarification on the layout and the Planning Officer explained that a former reception room would become the seventh bedroom, with the main reception space then being extended. The Planning Officer then confirmed that a previous planning permission for eight bedrooms had not been implemented. There being no debate, Councillor Simnett proposed the approval of the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation, seconded by Councillor Warne, the Chair called upon the Committee to vote whereupon it was RESOLVED (unanimously): To Grant Full Planning Permission subject to conditions set out in the Officer’s report.

(amended description) Application No. HS/FA/26/00073 Conservation Area No Listed Building No Status Council application on Council owned land Zoe Taylor, Senior Planning Officer, presented the application for a series of external alterations to the building, including the replacement of existing windows, partial infilling of glazing, alterations to ground floor openings, installation of external cladding, and associated remedial works. There had been no updates since the publication of the report. Councillor Simnett queried the choice of white UPVC windows and sought clarification of the reasoning for the choice. The Senior Planning Officer advised that whilst the applicant had not provided reasoning, the proposed materials would be suitable for a coastal location. With approval of the application in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation having been proposed by Councillor Ross, seconded by Councillor Simnett, the Chair called upon the Committee to vote whereupon it was RESOLVED (unanimously): To Grant Full Planning Permission subject to conditions set out in the Officer’s report.
