Who's responsible
Who holds each brief in the two councils' cabinets, as each council's own register states it. The borough council's cabinet is its portfolio holders; the county council's is its Leader and Lead Members.
Which council does what. The borough council runs planning, housing and homelessness, bins, car parks, licensing, the seafront and parks. The county council runs schools, social care, roads and on-street parking, libraries and waste disposal. The county's Cabinet covers the whole of East Sussex; its members sit for divisions across the county.

How posts are joined to topics
A post covers a topic when the post's own title contains one of the topic's words, whole words, any case; the word that matched is shown. A title doesn't list everything a portfolio covers, so a topic may have no post here even though someone holds it: the council's own description of each portfolio is the authority.
- Parking: a post whose title names “parking”, “Transport”
- Housing: a post whose title names “Housing”
- The seafront: a post whose title names “seafront”, “foreshore”, “tourism”
- Transport: a post whose title names “Transport”, “Infrastructure”, “highways”
- Schools: a post whose title names “Education”, “Children”, “Schools”
- Health and care: a post whose title names “Health”, “Adult Social Care”, “social care”
- Environment: a post whose title names “Environment”, “Environmental”, “Climate”, “Nature”, “Green Spaces”
- Licensing: a post whose title names “Licensing”, “Regulatory”
- Regeneration: a post whose title names “Regeneration”, “Economy”, “Shaping Places”
The words are in config/issues.yaml (responsible).
