Large planning applications
Planning applications whose description states 10 or more homes, or 1,000 m² or more of floorspace, newest first, with where each one stands.
How this list is made, and what it misses
The numbers come from the words of each application’s description: “erection of 24 dwellings”, “a minimum of two and a maximum of four dwellings” (a range, shown as one), “up to 65 dwellings”, “1,250 sqm”. They are what the application states, not what was built or what the decision allowed; a permission’s conditions can change the number, and they are in the decision notice on the council’s file.
An application that doesn’t state a number in its description isn’t listed, nor is one where the council’s list cut the description short before the number. Homes that already exist or are lost (“demolition of 4 houses”, “the amalgamation of two flats”) aren’t counted.
