Council land and buildings

Council land and buildings that the councils' papers propose to sell, lease or transfer, with what each report recommended and what the minutes record.

5 papers listed; 3 agreed, the minutes record. Property details are often in exempt (private) papers that councils don’t publish, and this site only sees what is published, so this list is partial: a sale or lease decided in private may not be here at all.

How a paper gets on this list

A report to Cabinet, a Lead Member, Full Council or the Charity Committee is listed when its title or its recommendation says one of: “disposal of” · “freehold” · “grant of a lease” · “long lease” · “community asset transfer” · “declare surplus” · “less than best consideration”. County papers are listed only when they name Hastings or St Leonards, or a Hastings street. “Proposed” means a report recommends it; “agreed” means the minutes record the resolution as agreed. Each entry says which words matched, and the council's own paper is the record.
