p81. Background 1.1. On 26 June 2025 the HOSC considered, as part of its regular work programme item, a verbal update from NHS Sussex on structural changes to the Integrated Care Board (ICB) being made in response to the Government reducing ICB running costs. At that meeting it was confirmed that NHS Sussex will be merging with NHS Surrey Heartlands, to form one ICB covering two health and care systems.
p91.2. Having considered the update, the Committee agreed to continue to receive regular verbal updates on any further changes to the ICB at its future meetings. 1.3. The Committee received a further update on changes to the ICB and wider developments in national policy at its meeting on 18 September 2025. The Committee agreed at this meeting to continue to receive verbal updates on developments in the ICB at each of its future meetings.
