All rooms met the nationally described and HBCadopted standards in terms of size. HMO licensing had reviewed the application and raised no objections. The proposal included bike storage for four bicycles; although this did not meet East Sussex County Council guidance, the location and good transport links meant the lack of cycle storage did not warrant refusal.

HBC Housing Improvement and Compliance were responsible for the licensing scheme and would ensure that the HMO was fit for purpose and would impose conditions or restrictions as necessary.
