- p373. In the event that asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) are disturbed during the works, all site activity must cease immediately and the affected area be isolated. A report authored by a suitably qualified asbestos professional (e.g., a UKAS-accredited consultant) shall be submitted to the Local Planning Authority. This report must detail the extent of the disturbance, evaluate potential contamination risks, and outline the necessary mitigation and remediation measures required. Works on site shall not resume until the report is approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority.
