The amendment asks the council to request that the Cabinet Member and officers investigate a free bus travel scheme for veterans resident in East Sussex who hold a valid Veterans ID card. p5

It also asks the council to engage with local bus operators, veteran organisations and neighbouring authorities to develop options for delivering free bus travel for veterans every day, not only on Remembrance Sunday. p6

The amendment asks officers to bring a full financial assessment of the proposal, including costs and funding options, to the Executive. p7

It also asks that the proposal be considered by the Place Scrutiny Committee before going to Cabinet. p11
