p6I am a senior EHO in Environmental Health and the lead officer for health and safety. Environmental Health fully support the application for review of the Grand Pera Premises Licence.
p7As a responsible authority Environmental Health support this application for review of the premises licence under the licensing objective of Public Safety following a major incident on 2nd December 2025. The premises endangered the safety of people using the premises (staff and customers) as well as several residents in the immediate vicinity.
p30On 19th December, a number of Statutory Improvement Notices were served on Mr Ergun as the employer and person responsible for the business. These were served together with a letter giving further explanation.
p32I visited the premises, with my colleague Wendy Goodliffe, on 20 January 2026 to check on compliance with the Improvement Notices served in December. Contraventions in Health and Safety were still present, so another Statutory Improvement Notice was served on 22 January 2026.
p35Based on the situation described above I remain having serious concerns regarding the management and operation of this premises.
p36I therefore respectfully invite the Licensing Committee to consider revoking the Premises Licence.
