Mentioned in council papers

5 council papers on our record name “Housing Justice” in their text, newest first, each with the words around the name. A paper naming a supplier is not a record that a payment to it was approved there: most payments follow a contract or a decision officers take under delegated powers, which needn’t come to a committee. The match is on the whole name, without “Ltd” and the like; a paper that spells it differently is missed.

A payment records money leaving the council. It says nothing about the supplier's work, and a large figure usually reflects a contract whose decision is in the council's papers. Names and categories are the council's own. If we get something wrong, we correct it in place with a note saying what changed, and list the correction on the about page. Back to all spending.
