This winter: help with heating and household bills
The Household Support Fund ended in March 2026. Since 1 April 2026 the Crisis and Resilience Fund has replaced it and Discretionary Housing Payments: Hastings Borough Council runs its housing payments, and East Sussex County Council runs the rest, including crisis payments. The councils' own pages say who can get help and how to ask.

“Hastings Borough Council, in partnership with East Sussex County Council, is preparing for the phased implementation of a Crisis Resilience Fund, scheduled to commence April 2026.”

How this page is made: a document appears here when its title
or text contains one of these words: “cost of living”, “Household Support Fund”, “Crisis and Resilience Fund”, “Crisis Resilience Fund”, “fuel poverty”, “energy bills”, “warm home discount”, “warm spaces”, “food bank”, “food banks”. We match whole words and
ignore case. A matching word doesn't mean the document is mainly about this
topic, so each entry shows the word that matched and links to the council's
own document.
